Create your own Cube veranda – specifications and information

MB Veranda allows you to put together your Cube veranda completely by yourself, according to your own wishes and requirements. To get you started, we provide you with all the technical information needed to start the design of your Cube porch. Below you can see the categories where you will find the appropriate explanations and specifications.

Material

MB Veranda’s Cube canopies are made of low-maintenance aluminum type T6-6063, which guarantees a long service life. This type of aluminum is resistant to weather and moisture, and remains unaffected by UV radiation.

MB Veranda uses 552 laminated safety glass, MU coating and solid uprights measuring 25 by 19 inches.

The gutter made of high-quality aluminum provides a load-bearing capacity of as much as 80kg per square meter. In addition, MB Veranda’s Cube canopies feature both TÜV certification and CE marking, ensuring compliance with European construction standards.

Style

MB Veranda’s Cube verandas are fully customized. The characteristic uprights give a robust effect, equipped with a beautiful gutter. The Cube veranda comes standard with a flat gutter. With square uprights and a flat gutter, the porch has an even sleeker look.

Colour

For the color of your Cube canopy, you can choose from black or anthracite. The lighting can be in warm white, cold white, or dimmable warm white. The choice of colors allows you to give the canopy exactly the look that suits your personal preference. Stylish and aesthetic in the combination you like. When in doubt, it is possible to request a trial package through our friendly staff. You can then use color and glass plate samples and a comprehensive brochure to see which color combination best suits your home.

Roof

MB Veranda’s Cube porch comes standard with a glass roof. The specifications can be found below.

Glass

Even when it comes to glass, MB Veranda makes the choice for high quality. For glass roofs, we use only 552 laminated glass.

Dimensions

Would you rather do the assembly yourself and not use our free measuring service? Then take into account the height, width and length of your Cube veranda. Based on the wall height of your home, the available headroom can be calculated. If you opt for professional installation by MB Veranda, we will support you optimally with our free measuring service.

Width:

Our Cube verandas are delivered fully customized. Of course, you can also use our standard sizes. These start at a width of 3 meters and always increase by one meter; 4 meters, 5 meters, 6 meters, up to 12 meters.

Depth:

MB Veranda’s verandas are completely custom made. You can of course use our standard sizes; 2.5 meters, 3 meters, 3.5 meters or 4 meters deep. In fact, any depth up to four meters is possible. However, shortening the depth may have some impact on the ability to mount sliding walls and doors. Ask our staff about the possibilities and solutions for your patio cover.

Height:

MB Veranda always recommends a height at the bottom of the gutter of 2.10 metres, 2.15 metres, 2.20 metres, 2.25 metres, 2.30 metres or 2.35 metres. These heights have to do with fitting sliding glass walls, which need to fit exactly under the patio enclosure.

Number of uprights

Precisely because of the high quality of our materials and the particularly solid construction of our self-produced canopies, fewer uprights are needed than with our competitors. Our Cube canopies therefore offer an unobstructed view and have a wide passageway under the canopy. The number of posts depends on the width, depth, height and type of your roof. Please ask one of our friendly staff for advice.

Important: The indicated number of uprights is a recommendation for the strength of the covers. With large canopies there is a possibility that the gutter will sag slightly under the weight of the steel strip. However, this strip of galvanised steel is necessary to give the necessary strength to the gutter. This strip allows a load of up to 80 kg per square meter.

Accessories / LED lighting

With MB Veranda's LED lighting, you will create a cozy atmosphere in the evenings and during dark days. We supply sets of 4,6,8,10 or 12 spotlights, with 3 Watt each. The LED lighting can be switched and dimmed using the remote control supplied.

Foundation

Because the foundation of your porch is important, MB Veranda uses a concrete tile under the posts. The uprights are attached to this concrete tile and then concrete mortar is poured around them. This ensures that all the space is filled correctly, so you always end up with a precise fit. This precise fit provides an excellent, sturdy foundation under your patio cover.

Maintenance

Cleaning and maintaining the aluminium frame and roof panels can be done with lukewarm soapy water and a cloth or sponge. Be sure to use a non-greasy soap. For your convenience and safety, we recommend using an extendable chamois for the roof. Never use abrasives or scouring pads and always rinse copiously with clean water.

For locations near the sea and the resulting salty air, we recommend cleaning the aluminium frame at least twice a year. In other locations, where salty air is not a factor, once a year is sufficient. Always make sure that the gutter is clean and free of leaves and other debris. This way you will prevent clogging.

Entering the roof of your Cube porch

When cleaning the roof or gutters, it is very important not to stand or walk directly on the roofing material. By placing boards with rubber mats underneath on intermediate girders, you can distribute the weight and prevent unnecessary damage.

Expanding canopies

Your Cube veranda can be expanded with that which you need to create the perfect situation in the garden. Take full advantage of the opportunity to combine your canopy with MB Veranda’s other garden solutions. By cleverly combining and putting together, your personal design will be a real asset to your garden. Possible extensions can be combined with canopies on the facade or freestanding.

Sidewalls and sliding walls

With the use of heat-resistant side walls or sliding walls, you can turn your assembled Cube covering into a beautiful veranda. Full comfort and homeliness in your own garden is easily achieved with the aluminum garden solutions from MB Veranda. The side walls and sliding glass walls work with a top guide that holds the walls in place. You can choose from standard widths: 90, 93, 98 and 103 centimeters. The standard heights we supply are varied: 190, 200, 205, 210, 215, 220, 225, 230, 235, 240 or 245 centimeters.

Do you prefer a different size to make everything fit together perfectly? This possibility is of course available at MB Veranda, at a small additional cost. A sturdy bottom rail keeps the sliding glass walls in place. The 10 millimeter thick tempered glass is available in clear or tinted varieties. With the possible addition of draught strips you can create a very comfortable spot in the garden.

A Cube porch with all the trimmings

As described above, a beautiful porch can be put together with some combination work. Our custom-made porches are high quality and equipped with T6-6063 aluminum, 552 laminated safety glass and a MU coating of 80-100. With sturdy uprights of 25 x 19 inches, your porch also has great load-bearing capacity and solidity. Choose the LED lighting that suits you and go for cold white or warm white, dimmable or not. With powder-coated rebates 2 inches thick, your Cube porch will soon be a beacon of comfort and privacy.
